Comprehending the scenario

A story text must be comprehended as a story, thereby explaining the need for the supertask just described. But, texts are also intended to relate a scenario to the reader. Lycanthrope, for example, is not just a story; it tells the reader about events which could potentially happen, some more likely than others. A reader can understand the relationship between the two friends using some of the same processes which they would in an attempt to understand the relationship if it were occurring in the physical world. The scenario comprehension supertask is responsible for comprehending events happening around a reasoner. Because of this, it can also be used to comprehend the events which are occurring inside of a story world.
