Related work in creative understanding

  The realms of past reading research and past creativity research is illuminating with respect to the work being presented in this dissertation. Of course, it is necessary to explicitly make some of the connections between the prior work and my current research as the relationships are not always obvious. There is some previous research which is more closely related to my focus on creative understanding. I will briefly discuss two such lines--conceptual combination and explanation-based reasoning.
