A user can attempt to access a file in one of three
ways:
A user could read
the file (r)
A user could write
to the file (w)
A user could execute
the file (e)
This gives us nine possible ways to access an ordinary
file. We need to determine how many of these nine possibilities we are
going to allow to a specific file or directory.
