The storage capacity of the RAID device is equal to
that of the member partitions, minus one of the partitions.
If there are n partitions being used, then (n - 1)
are used for striping, and 1 is used for parity. That way, if one disk
fails, the backup disk can help recover lost data.
You need at least three disks for this RAID level.
