Directory Structure
/tmp
This directory is the place to put smaller temporary files that you don't care much about.
Any user may read to and write from /tpm, but they can't access other's files in this directory.
Most distributions clear /tmp when booting.
Don't put anything important in /tmp.
Some programs use this directory as a workspace.
